DYESS CHIEFS’ GROUP
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATIONEligibility: (Three categories, $ 500.00 each)
1. You must be a graduating High School student who is a dependent son or daughter of an active duty person assigned to Dyess AFB or a dependent of a retired or deceased military person.
2. Dependent spouse of active duty military person assigned to Dyess AFB.
3. Dependent (non-spouse) who is currently enrolled in a college or university and is a dependent son or daughter of an active duty person assigned to Dyess AFB or a dependent of a retired or deceased military person.
Note: If a high school student, must attend high school in Taylor County.Instructions:
1. Complete the Chief’s Group Scholarship Application Form and attachment 1.
2. Category 1: submit a copy of your high school transcript. It should include your fall semester grades and your standardized test scores (SAT/ACT).
3. Category 2: submit a copy of your high school transcript. It should include standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) or if currently attending a college or university, submit a letter signed by a verifying official, on school letterhead, stating your current GPA and course hours attempted in the current semester.
4. Category 3: submit a letter signed by a verifying official, on school letterhead, stating your current GPA and course hours attempted in the current semester.
5. All: submit a signed, personal narrative of at least one double spaced page. Please provide information you feel necessary to the committee about yourself and your goals.
6. All: submit two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals who are not relatives.
7. All information should be typed, double-spaced. If you need additional space, attach an additional sheet of paper.
