2.  The Jeep Chief will carry the JEEP as described in rule 1 above for the entire month of their promotion month.  If not transferred to a new Jeep Chief at the beginning of the next month, the JEEP is retired at a location determined by the Chiefs’ Group president until a new Jeep Chief is identified.

3.  The Jeep Chief will carry a pocket JEEP (laminated card) at all times to provide ready proof of their Jeep Chief status until properly relieved as the Jeep Chief.

4.  The Jeep Chief will display the JEEP openly at all times, never to be locked away, hidden or otherwise shamed.  Securing the JEEP when participating in athletic events or physical conditioning is authorized.

5.  The Jeep Chief must safeguard the JEEP at all times from potential taking of the JEEP by a Chief, and only a Chief.  The JEEP is always returned to the Jeep Chief upon their request.  If someone other than a Chief obtains possession of the JEEP, it will be returned immediately with no fine assessed.

6.  The JEEP may not be connected to the JEEP Chief by any means of a foreign object (i.e. string, rope, glue, handcuff, etc…).

7.  The JEEP must always be held in the highest regard, never degraded by deeds or words.

8.  The lack of knowledge of the rules associated with the JEEP is not grounds to forego penalty.   Failure to carry out Jeep Chief responsibility should the JEEP be lost or misplaced is not an option.

9.  Any Chief with knowledge of an infraction of the JEEP rules is required to make it known to all Chiefs’ Group members.  Withholding such vital information will be cause to subject the knowing member(s) to the same penalties outlined for the Jeep Chief in question.
