II
General Provisions
The Chiefs’ Group is established pursuant to the provisions of
AFI 34-223 and operates on Dyess Air Force Base with the consent of
the Installation Commander (per approval of this Constitution/By-Laws).
The Chiefs’ Group will stay in compliance with the requirements
and conditions of all applicable Air Force Instructions, Operating Instructions,
and this Constitution/By-Laws.
ARTICLE III
Officers
1. GOVERNING BODY. The Chiefs’ Group governing body will consist
of officers forming the Executive Council (EC). The EC will consist
of the president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. In the event
of short-term absences, as determined by the EC, the order of responsibility
for Chiefs’ Group operation is as follows: president, vice-president,
secretary, and treasurer.
1.1. PRESIDENT. Responsible for presiding at all regular, special,
and EC meetings and perform all duties normally pertaining to such office.
The president is responsible for the Chiefs’ Group’s operation
and adherence to applicable governing directives. Additionally, the
president may establish special teams to perform one-time or continuous
duties during the term of office.
1.2. VICE-PRESIDENT. Responsible for serving in place of the president
during the president’s absence and perform other duties as directed.
The vice-president is responsible for tracking and including all Chiefs’
Group members within the Dyess Chiefs Group e-mail group.
